BIOGRAPHY

·         Born March 10, 1978, in Great Falls, Montana.

·         Graduated from Charles M. Russell High School in 1996.

·         Employed by James Talcott Construction for 14 years. Currently working as a Project QC.

·         Started racing radio-controlled cars at 13 years of age, gaining an understanding of suspension dynamics and tuning.

·         Started working on cars at 16 years of age.

 

RACING BACKGROUND

Ÿ  Raced the JDR Motorsports Honda Civic at the NASA Championships at Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele, UT, qualifying 13th and finishing 10th. (September 2010)

Ÿ  Raced the JDR Motorsports Honda Civic with the Miller Motorsports Park Racing Association, winning the 3nd place trophy. (August 2010)

Ÿ  Raced the JDR Motorsports Honda Civic at High Plains Raceway near Denver, CO in the 3 hour endurance race.  It’s the first Enduro I ran with the team and the Civic. I finished 1st in my class and 8th overall out of 19 cars. (May 2010)

Ÿ  Raced the JDR Motorsports Honda Civic at High Plains Raceway near Denver, CO in the NASA Pro Racing.  I dominated my class, winning every event. (May 2010) Watch a lap on YouTube: Fast Civic Passing Porsches

Ÿ  Worked with Wil Mar Racing and their #52 Ferrari 430 Challenge as a drivers assistant to Max Schmidt for the 24 Hours of Daytona (January 2010)

Ÿ  Raced the JDR Motorsports Honda Civic at the NASA Championships at Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele, UT, qualifying 9th. The car had a mechanical failure and I was unable to finish the race. (September 2009)

Ÿ  Raced the JDR Motorsports Honda Civic with the Miller Motorsports Park Racing Association. I won the 2nd place trophy and got to spray Champagne from the podium. (August 2009)

Ÿ  Raced JDR Motorsports Honda Civic at High Plains Raceway near Denver, CO, winning both races in my class. (April 2009)

Ÿ  Driver for the Compass 360 R #73 RSX in the Grand-Am Koni Sports Car Challenge at Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele, Utah.  I co-drove with Kevin York, a very accomplished professional driver, instructor for the Speed Secrets race driving school, and subject of the #1 selling book The Art of Racing in the Rain, the movie rights owned by Patrick Dempsey. I started the race and York finished. We qualified 32nd and finished 23rd. (September 2008)

Ÿ  Drove the JDR Motorsports CRX in the Red Line Time Attack, placing 3rd in the street mod class, and pictured in the next Honda Tuning magazine, a popular international publication. (June 2008)

Ÿ  Driver for the Fountain Motorsports #128 BMW 330i in the Grand-Am Koni Sports Car Challenge Fresh From Florida 250 at Daytona International Speedway.  This was my first professional road race and I co-drove with Manni Matz, an accomplished professional driver that has won championships throughout the 90s including the Motorola Cup. We qualified in 33rd and finished 18th.  I started the race and he finished. I clocked the fastest lap time in the car. (January 2008)

·         SCCA Racing Events around Montana (2000-Present)

     Amassed numerous Fast Time of the Day and Class winner trophies over the years

     Won every Fast Time of Day and Class winner trophy for the events attended in 2010

     Regional Autocross Champion (2005, 2006)

·         Started JDR Motorsports (2008)

     The first event for JDR Motorsports was the Red Line Time Attack, where the cars placed in 1st, 2nd and 3rd in three different classes, and all cars brought trophies home (June 2008)

     Private driver coaching and instructing (2008, 2009, 2010)

     Built the JDR Motorsports Civic to race in the NASA Pro Racing series.  It is the first racecar that the JDR Motorsports team built from the ground up. (February-April 2009)

     Put the new car in several local car shows.  It’s the only thing like it locally. JDR Motorsports crew was nearby to answer questions and hand out promotional swag. (2009)
